Thank You: Scorched Pot

I wish to thank all those who saw my query re: Scorched Pot.
I found that by soaking the scorched pot in white vinegar, the scorched material will and can be removed by a sponge pad with a scorning pad on one side. When I scorched my pan AND my great Blueberry/Peach Preserves, I could not save the preserves; BUT, I could salvage my wonderful teflon coated 3 quart pan by soaking it in white vinegar for 10-12 hours. Then taking a scouring pad, I scrubbed the residue off without harming the teflon coating on my pan. Thanks,
