Thank You: Thank you BG, Enjoy....

Misc.

Hi BG,

I was just getting ready to post Sunday night's dinner and saw your message. What a delight to read this on a Monday morning!! Thank you so much for your compliments...made me smile.

I start out basically just like you, start thinking about the foods and what foods are seasonal, etc. I then visualize what will go on the plate, a meat, and three different veggies. If you have something orange, like sweet potatoes or carrots, pair that off with something green. If you have mostly white, like mashed potatoes or any white veggie and chicken or pork chops, pair that off with green and another orange or red. It's just color-combination.

I usually think of my menus a week in advance and whatever small staples I need, while I am out running errands, I stop at the grocers. Like tonight, I want to serve a Quiche Florentine with a light salad: got everything I need but the cream. You can do it, you're on the right track.

Glad to hear you have some "keepers", they are delightful, aren't they? I truly enjoy great-tasting food, I love cooking! So do you!

Best Regards, Gina
