been there Kelly!

Misc.

oh I remember those days well, always feeling like you are two steps behind! But dont worry they grow up so fast it will seem like no time that you are complaining they are never home for dinner!Do you have a crockpot, if not a great Christmas hint for someone. They can be a life saver and there are hundreds of recipes here on TKL. How about homemade pizza, make the dough in the morning, cut up all your ingredients and then at supper it just takes a few minutes to put together and everybody can have what they like if you make small individual pizzas.Homemade Mac and Cheese was always a favourite with my kids and relatively cheap to make.I Know u said no meat but a pot roast is not an expensive meal. Buy a not real expensive roast, cook with potatoes, carrotsand onions around roast for a no fuss meal.Plus there is a bonus hot beef sandwiches the next night or shephards pie or just meat for sandwich lunches.I always try to decide what we are eating the night before so I am not scrambling for ideas as everyone is coming in the door. Sorry if i was rambling Kelly but it is so much cheaper to cook and eat at home, once you build up a few tried and true favourites for your family it will get easier. Oh one more thing homemade soup is great and most freeze well.Good luck and let me know how you make out.
