Bread Machine Babka - Son had a project and used this recipe.

Misc.
Last year when my son was in 7th grade he had a class in "Family and Consumer Science" (home economics). He had to choose a country and do a report about the culture including some foods. He chose to do the report on Poland due to his Polish ancestry "my husband's family). The recipe was very easy and the teacher was beside herself with happiness. The kids loved trying the bread as well. I also tried making it with chocolate chips but the chips melted even when added when the fruit beeper went off. I'm going to try it again with frozen chips. I'm getting ready to make a few loaves to cut up and give as Christmas gifts to my son's teachers, speech therapist, occupational therapist. He has asperger syndrome so he has a TON of people to thank. They're wonderful but I can't afford to buy them each a decent gift. A dessert type bread seems to suit. People love to get special baked goods as gifts and they are work intensive but inexpensive. The bread also helped Alex fit in with his classmates better. That can be a struggle!
