Crumpets and Muffins
Misc. Hmmm....the first recipe Sharon sent for Muffins sounds like the Irish recipe for potato cakes to me (name eludes me at the moment) but the second one for crumpets sounds right. Still i don't suppose this helps you much....
All i can say is that the English muffins that we have are round and flat (like a fat burger pattie - erm, however you spell it :)They do not look like the American muffins (like cupcakes)They are doughy and soft and we have them toasted. They are either plain or have cheese in the muffin mix. Are these the ones you're talking about James? If so I'll do my best to see if i can route out a recipe from somewhere; someone must have one!!!
