I am also an apartment dweller and you have my sympathy! Did you check the drip tray? It's probably behind a removable grill located at the bottom of the fridge. Take it out (careful it might have smelly water in it) empty it and wash it well then soak in a mild bleach solution. If it's a really old clunker there may be a separate drip tray for the freezer. After you've done that put fresh (I mean un-used) coffee grounds in a spill proof container in a corner of the fridge. There are deodorizers made especially for the fridge but you may not need to spend the money. If you can't get the smell out speak to the landlord...you shouldn't have to continue to deal with this!
