Fondues are fun!
Misc.Ditto for my family. We like to use my electric wok for fondueing. It's easy to see what's on the end of your fork from a sitting position. The oil is best but at times we use flavoured chicken broth which is good with vegies, chicken and seafood but I don't care for it with beef as it tends to make it tough. This is a lot less fat and your leftover broth can be poured over rice or just drunk as a soup. You can use a lot of the same dipping sauces but I think the oriental types go best with this.
