HI JUNE, CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR FIND! THE THINGIE YOU MENTIONED, SHOULD NOT BE EMBEDDED IN THE BREAD , HOWEVER, THE FEW TIMES I HAVE MADE BREAD MACHINE BREAD...ONCE THE SAME THING HAPPENED....IT SHOULDN'T ACTUALLY EMBED IN IT, BUT BE ABLE TO BE TAKEN OUT OF THE PAIN AND HAVE THIS THING STILL IN THE BOTTOM OF THE PAN....NOT SURE WHAT THE SECRET IS, ALL I KNOW IS I BURNED MY FINGERS GOOD! THE SECRET TO AVOIDING THE PROBLEM..I DON'T KNOW, EXCEPT I DO KNOW THAT ALL BREAD MACHINE BREAD HAS THE MARK OF THE GADGET ON THE BOTTOM OF THE LOAF....
