Thanks for the idea of just using it to mix and raise then baking in a regular loaf pan.

Can you use the machine to mix a regular bread recipe or does it have to be the proportions of ingredients the machine calls for.

You're up north where it feels more like actual seasons, I think - our winter down here lasts about 2 weeks right around the holidays, then it starts warming up again. We had frost one night a couple of weeks ago and a few cool nights since, but I notice that in a few days it's supposed to get back up into the low 80s once again. That's what I LIVE FOR!

I'm going to visit a friend who had surgery on her hand is unable to do anything, and I'm going to bring her a loaf of the bread - I think I will do one of the ones with maple/nuts/whole wheat. I know that whole wheat doesn't raise as much as regular. I may do your oatmeal one - thanks for that recipe.
