Hey Dani.....

Misc.
Hi Dani,

I started eating this way when I left for Miami when my Grandma was put in the hospital, that was on January 31st. I do not put anything in my mouth that has flour, sugar or starch. Amazingly, I do not miss them and they were my favorite things. I just put it in my mind that I am allergic to these things...they BLOW me up.

I started at 185 and today I weighed myself at 172. I have gone done from size 14 to size 12. I need to go down to 140 where I look prettier and healthier. If you looked at me you would not guess I weigh that much because it is well distributed. But, if you look at my wedding picture from 1984, you would say, "what happened"...I weighed 120 lbs. at age 29. I say to myself, "enough is enough".

I eat meats, veggies, salads, and later on I will add fruits. Tonight we enjoyed a fabulous salad made with left-over chicken from the night before. Tomorrow I will make an Italian dinner for friends that are coming over but I will not eat the pasta, instead I will feast on salad, roasted red peppers, a huge meatball and a sausage. Believe me, Dani, once you get used to no sugar, your body does not crave it. What happens is that since you are not ingesting sugars, which by the way, turn into fats in your body, your body starts using the excess fat you are storing. I have also started walking in the morning for 1 hour to get in shape. I feel less sluggish, with a lot more energy and happier.

Good Luck with your diet and if you need any ideas for meals, just check in daily as I post my dinners every day.
