It is SO good to see your name and your postings again. Gladys posted a recipe for the crock-pot that seems to me to be similar to this one. I tried it and loved it and this sounds wonderful, too. Would this recipe work in the crockpot also?

I'm convinced that only those of you lucky enough to be born with the backgrounds of Cuba, Puerto Rico or Mexico really know how to cook plantains so they come out right. It has to be in the blood! Same thing goes for yucca!

New Englanders just don't have what it takes - at least this New Englander!
