Hi Karen, Labor Day is celebrated in the US the first Monday

in September. If I remember my history correctly it was created by the labor movement in the late 1800's. It used to be known as the "the working man's Holiday". It is a huge celebration in our area as we have alot of Union labor, Coal Miners. steel workers. My small hometown hosts the Labor Day this year. There will be a parade, speechs by union leader, and my favorite as a child, a carnival and food booths. This is one of our favorite holidays!
