Gosh, I remember those wonderful fall weekends with the kids playing in the woods (and in the dirt!) while dh and I worked in the yard. Back then there were other kids in the neighborhood and they'd all run around like heathens; hooting, screaming and having a ball.

Don't be so sure that you'll have any more time when they get older, though - mine are practically grown and we have so many other things going on that I rarely ever get to fix a full-course, home cooked meal!

Your soup and bread menu sounds wonderful. It's definitely getting to be that kind of weather again!
