Recipe: Bisquick Box Recipe - Puff Pancakes with Maple Whip (1950-60's)
Breakfast and BrunchBISQUICK PUFF PANCAKES WITH MAPLE WHIP
2 eggs
1 cup milk
2 1/3 cups Bisquick Baking Mix
2 tbsp. sugar
1/4 cup melted shortening
3/4 to 1 cup finely chopped pecans (optional)
Beat eggs until soft peaks form. Blend in milk. Add Bisquick, sugar. Mix just until thoroughly dampened. Fold in shortening. Fold pecans into batter, if desired.
Spoon onto hot griddle. Turn when puffed up and bubbles begin to break.
MAPLE WHIP
1/2 cup butter, softened
1 cup maple syrup
Cream butter. Gradually add maple syrup. Beat until smooth and of spreading consistency. Serve on hot Bisquick pancakes or waffles.
Makes 15 to 20 pancakes
