I sometimes think a marinade is ideal for previously frozen meat, since the texture is somewhat damp anyway. What I do, though, is put the frozen meat in the marinade and allow to thaw completely in the refrigerator, which can take up to 2 days for a large piece of meat. They say that it is better to defrost by this method anyway, and the meat sits in the marinade a nice, long time.

Now, if I'm organized enough, I prefer to put marinade on the meat before freezing so that it soaks up as much of that flavor as possible.
