If you have a pumpkin carving kit...

Try carving the outer rind of the watermelon with the tool they use to make the fancy pumpkin designs. You could use a stencil as a guide to create a beautiful ivy vine motif around the outside of the watermelon.

As for fruits to use:

watermelon
blueberries
strawberries
grapes
apples
mandarin oranges
cantalope
honeydew
And my favorite....PINEAPPLE!!!!!(canned is just fine)

Banana do NOT work well.
