Karen-England re: Progresso Breadcrumbs

Misc.
Karen, You absolutely have the right idea about the breadcrumbs. I do have a container of the "Italian Style" Progresso Breadcrumbs (They also make plain breadcrumbs) and, even though I'm not that fond of the Italian breadcrumbs, I must have used them for something recently??!?. Besides the things you mentioned,(garlic and other Italian herbs and seasonings) they have onion powder, parsley and powdered buttermilk. They also have ingredients you don't even want to know about such as sugar and preservatives. I think that I would go light on the basil, that is if you want your chicken parmagiana to be similar to the posted recipe. I think that there is more oregano than basil in the Progresso breadcrumbs. Good luck with the recipe:-) We used to have Chicken Parmagiana fairly often but we haven't had it for quite awhile. I might have to make it again soon:-) It sounds good. We went through a period of time with our girl's needing their "carbos" for their swimming and cross country meets that we got awfully tired of just about anything Italian or American Italian even though most of it was pasta of some sort, rather than chicken parmagiana.
