I just returned from the store because, although I REALLY don't think we're going to get Bonnie here, shopping is still panic-free in the Palm Beaches (which is where we live) and we might as well stock up on our hurricane supplies now. I did the same thing when we first heard of Andrew and it served me well because the day after I shopped, the grocery (and other) stores were mobbed and the shelves literally stripped bare. Oddly enough, people were buying fresh meat in huge quantities! But then they were buying everything else too.

By the way, my grocery store had stacks and stacks of SPAM and VIENNA SAUSAGE displayed where you first walk in!

I haven't seen anything up to date on Bonnie yet. The track mentioned earlier which had the storm cutting across Florida east to west looked to me like it would be well north of Bradenton, so that would be good news for you and I'll keep good thoughts for you.
