making butter

Misc.

i used to get fresh milk from a dairy and the cream on top of a gallon, i would place in the blender and run till it formed butter. then i would place the butter in a bowl and run cold water over it while mashing it with a fork till the water is clear this gets all the milk out of the butter. after that you can add salt to taste. you can try using a mixer. just like whipping cream only you keep whipping, it will turn to butter. i found this out when i was young and everyone laughed because i whipped the cream for strawberry shortcake into butter. it was good butter.
