FUDGE RUM SAUCE
4 ounces unsweetened chocolate
2/3 cup boiling water
6 tablespoons corn syrup
3 tablespoons butter
1 2/3 cups sugar
1 tablespoon rum
Melt chocolate with butter in a medium saucepan. Use very low heat.
Add 2/3 cup boiling water to melted chocolate. Blend well then add corn syrup, sugar, mixing thoroughly. Bring mixture to boil, stirring constantly.
Lower heat; simmer until mixture thickens slightly, about 9 minutes. Remove from heat and cool 15 minutes.
Stir in rum; blend well.
Makes 2 1/2 cups sauce
