Message for Deb. about OC Pound Cake

Misc.

Hi Deb,
I recently made this pound cake and used plain all purpose flour. It had a
really nice rise to it. I couldn't find orange crush and so I just used another
brand of orange soda. I was a delicious and beautiful poundcake, but lacked the
intensity of the orange flavor. I guess I was expecting more of an orange
taste. I had even cut back on the lemon extract in hopes of having a more
orange flavor. I ended up making the glaze and brushed it on once and then took
the leftover glaze and added some Triple Sec (Orange flavored Liquer)which added
an extra bit of orange flavor. Next time, I think I might use either orange
juice or orange juice concentrate in my quest for more of an orange flavor.
Good Luck!
