Mrs.Gamble's English Scones

These are deadly...sweeter than regular scones, but they are sooo good! They are from my boyfriend's Mum. Enjoy!

English Scones

3c flour
2tsp baking powder
1c butter
1c sugar
1c milk
1c raisins
1 egg white

Mix dry ingredients.
Rub in the butter.
Beat egg white until stiff and add to milk-fold into flour mixture carefully.
Pat out to 1" thick on a HEAVILY(be liberal)floured board.
Brush egg yolk on top.
Cut into triangles and bake at 400 for 15-20 minutes on a greased cookie sheet.
