Oh, boy! Great recipe, Gina!

Gina, this chicken sounds delicious! And easy to make, too! I used to live in a neighborhood with quite a few Jewish families, and oy, those ladies could really cook! One lady, Mrs. Hammerstein, used to yell at us kids out of her kitchen window, waving her wooden spoon at us, if we so much as laid a toe on her yard. Then she would come out a bit later with Jewish rye bread, or whatever kind of bread she was making that day, loaded with butter, and give us all a thick slice. It always confused us, because she yelled at us but then she fed us. And we loved to be fed! She always wore a flowered apron, and smelled like a bakery. She made the best bread I've ever tasted. Gosh, I haven't thought about her in years! Thanks for triggering some memories! I'll have to make your chicken this week in memory of Mrs. Hammerstein!
