Yes you can...Of course it's not as good as using the real thing but it'll work in a pinch...I would suggest using the beef consomme and adding water rather than regular broth since it is much more flavorful. You won't even need to add spices...however you will have to add more water due to the amount of consomme and the concentration of it compared to real meat juices.
