Quarry Tiles vs. Stones

Joel,I don't mean to sound "really" dense, but how exactly do you use these tiles?
Do you line one of the two metal pull out racks OR the stove bottom? Do you leave these tiles in permanently? Do you put the pizza dough directly onto the tiles (no pan) and how do you do this as my dough would be very hard to handle with toppings and all, trying to get it onto the tiles. You're probably LOL picturing this, but I really don't understand the procedure.
