Quorn products have arrived in the U.S.!

Misc.
I had actually called the Northeast frozen food person for Bread & Circus stores sometime in November or December. He told me that all of the Bread & Circus stores in the Northeast would have Quorn products sometime in January. I have checked weekly and, just tonight, they had them in their freezer section, here in Western MA. He had told me that all of the Bread & Circus stores from New Jersey to Boston would have them. He didn't know about the Fresh Field stores in the DC area so it might be worth it to check and see if they are carrying Quorn products and, if not, and if you are interested, you could make a little "noise" about them carrying them. I haven't personally tried any yet but Karen/England, who posts on this site, and my daughter who is a student in England, both seem to think they are very good. The Bread & Circus person who I spoke with had tried them and was impressed with their flavor & texture and encouraged the representaive from Quorn to approach the national Bread & Circus type person about carrying the products nationally. Incidentally, Good HouseKeeping magazine had a small "blurb" about Quorn products in, I think it was, their January issue which gave me the impression that we may even see them in our regular grocey stores?? Anyway, I think it might be a new product that both vegetarians and non-vegetarians might like to try??!? I gather that Quorn products are mushroom based meat substitutes if anyone is wondering. The next question is...Do you think the Quorn Company might hire me to be one of their U.S. spokespersons:-)??!?

Quorn products are now in the Fresh Field's stores in the DC area as well:-)
