Good recipe, however the post (Arthur Swartz's comment) is absolutely incorrect that this is something local to New York and not known outside of the city. Chicken Francese is in fact an Italian dish. In fact, I discovered it outside of New York and have had it everywhere but New York. It's my favorite dish.
