re: Chicken Tonight Country French - Ingredient list of UK version

OK, I have recently re-remembered Country French : ( and again am saddened.

I was totally addicted to French Country Chicken Tonight...was VERY sad to find it was discontinued. I would have bought a truck load if I had known in advance!

I've made some of the attempts to re-create it, and they are good, but not exactally what I remember. They have the "campbell's casserole taste" from the soup mix that is added. I roughly remember the US-version's label said "chablis" wine so that is what I made my re-creation with. Perhaps I should have added sherry also.

I found the list of ingredients of the UK version (no dill???), but, I'm not 100% sure if it's the same as the USA version was. I DO HAVE AN OLD JAR LABEL THOUGH! I'll try to find it again and post the ingredient list on the USA version.


INGREDIENTS in UK version
Water, White Wine (13%) (contains sulphite), Carrots (9%), Sunflower Oil, Mushrooms (4.5%), Onions, Cornflour, Lactic Acid, Sugar, Cream (1.5%), Sherry, Pasteurised Egg Yolk, Garlic, Salt, Stabiliser (Xanthan Gum), Yeast Extract, Chives (0.05%), Black Pepper, Parsley.
