It looks like you have a lot of great suggestions and i'm sure your book will be a success.

You might want to consider selling a few ads (you mentioned the widower asking about recipes for people like him - and then kidding re phone # for Dominos, etc.) -- I would think some of those restaurants would be very HAPPY to buy ad space in your book.

When I've worked with this type of cookbook (in the past not since our last move 10 years ago) -- I think I hated the few times I had to work with the help of getting ads! Asking for money! I know once we had a very great person helping us who put together several pages of tips and hints to help us (long lost) -- But we did quite well with the ads - and some of the people connected also put in 'greetings' (or whatever you would call them (just small blurbs) good luck, etc. Which were small and such .. but it was still 'extra' $$$. These were, at various times, from parishioners of a church; parents of school children; businesses where one of us (or our dh's worked or owned); and even dentists, banks, etc.

I don't think I'd count on Christmas!
