- Real Recipes from Real People -

I've gotten myself into something and need some advice/help!

Misc.
Here in our little community, we have twice a month dinners at the clubhouse. One of those dinners is always potluck, and I've always been so impressed with the wide variety and excellence of the dishes people bring.

One night last week, I said at our table "There's so many good cooks here, we should compile a cookbook for a fund-raiser" (We're always short of money!) So someone else said - "what a great idea - you brought it up, so you should head it up"

I love organizing things, and enjoy doing anything on the computer, so that part doesn't intimidate me. BUT, I'd love some input from any of you who have participated in a cookbook project. What have I gotten myself into!!

We have a monthly newsletter that I will put an announcement in, requesting recipes. Should I limit recipes for each category, from each person to a certain number?

What are the pitfalls here facing me, and would it be too much to think that we could put this together by Christmas?? I have three or four other women who will help me - how should I parcel out the chores?

Help!! And thanks in advance for any ideas and suggestions you might have.

Love, June
