re: curry leaves

Misc.
hi susan,

the real curry powders indian or malay people make here HAS real curry leaves in it. (homemade not shop-bought) they dry the leaves so they can be added whole in the powder. if any of you want a picure of curry leaves, please ask Betsy for my e-mail address. i can send it to you.

we also use curry leaves in some dishes, like you do with basil. it's has a very nice scent. you can't really associate it with normal curry powder as it is different. :)
