Amanda isle of wight-Re: Cabbage Dahl

Misc.
Hi Amanda:-) My Indian cookbooks do not have a recipe for cabbage dahl but there are a few recipes using cabbage and of course many for dahl. There are also recipes combining other vegetables with lentils. such as Spicy brussel sprouts, Green Beans and Lentil Stew, Mung Bean (yellow lentils) and Cauliflower Stew, and Mixed Lentils and Vegetable Stew, and Mung Dal with Spinach. If you think that any of these would be of any help, let me know and I will post a recipe. My 2 Indian cookbooks are Flavors of India by Shanta Nimbark Sacharoff and Classic Indian Cooking by Julie Sahni. I don't have Jaffrey's cookbook(s). Maybe I should invest in one??!? Good luck finding the exact recipe that you are looking for. Someone might have that recipe and post it for you.
