re: Fried Cornbread

Misc.
Your request brought back a memory of my father, born in Arkansas, but transplanted to Upper Michigan. He used to talk about his mother making fried cornbread in a big black skillet, and they would crumble up the warm cornbread into a glass of BUTTERMILK! As kids, we used to practically choke at that one whenever he would tell us about it.

My mother used to make cornbread in a pan, and he'd do the "crumble" in the buttermilk, but he always said that as good as it was, it was different from that fried cornbread in the big black skillet! We could hardly stand to watch him eat this concoction!

Thanks for the memory and I hope you find the recipe!
