Re: Fried green tomatoes

What I have is really not a recipe.
The way we always made them was to
cut the green tomatoes in slices,
just like you would cut a ripe one
for a sandwich. Dredge the slices
in flour. Have cooking oil heating
in a frying pan. Test oil to make
sure it is hot (do this by dropping
a couple of drops of water into the
pan. if the water "dances" across
the pan, the oil is ready). Care-
fully place the flour-dredged slices
in the hot oil. Fry on both sides
until light golden brown color.
Then serve.
