Recipe: Hershey's Perfectly Chocolate Hot Cocoa with Variations (cinnamon, mint, or mocha)

SINGLE SERVING MICROWAVE RECIPE:
2 heaping teaspoons sugar
2 teaspoons cold milk
1 heaping teaspoon unsweetened Hershey's Cocoa powder
about 1 cup cold milk
Dash Salt
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
Combine sugar, cocoa and salt in microwave safe mug. Add about 2 teaspoons milk; stir until smooth. Add about 1 cup milk; stir well. Microwave at HIGH 1-1/2 minutes or until hot. Add vanilla, if desired. Stir well; serve.
LOWER FAT:
Use skim milk; follow recipe above.
SUGAR FREE:
Omit sugar. Combine cocoa salt and 2 teaspoons skim milk. Proceed as above, using skim milk. When mixture is hot, stir in vanilla and sugar substitute with sweetening equivalence of 2 to 3 teaspoons sugar.
SIX SERVING TOP OF STOVE RECIPE:
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup unsweetened Hershey's Cocoa powder
dash salt
1/3 cup hot water
4 cups milk
3/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
Combine sugar, cocoa and salt in medium saucepan; stir in water. Bring to boil over medium heat, stirring constantly; boil and stir 2 minutes.
Add milk; stir and heat until hot. Do not boil.
Remove from heat; add vanilla. Beat with whisk until foamy.
VARIATIONS:
Add one of the following with the vanilla:
CINNAMON COCOA:
1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon.
MINT COCOA:
1/2 teaspoon mint extract or 3 tablespoons crushed hard peppermint candy
MOCHA COCOA:
1 to 2 tablespoons powdered instant coffee
