re: Gingerbread Houses

Good Housekeeping Magazine used to always feature a gingerbread house contest and many other gingerbread things in their holiday issue. They were always very elaborate. I looked on eBay and there is a lot of the holiday issues with gingerbread on the front going off for quite a high price. I guess others must be interested in it too. I would suggest you try to get some of the old issues. On their website they have several recipes for the gingerbread dough and icing. I have a specialty gingerbread cookbook but it does not have a fancy house.
Good luck on your project. It sounds like a very good raffle idea.
