You can try typing "hazelnut candy" into a search engine, such as Google. Several options come up, but some of the best are Oregon based companies. One site even includes some hazelnut candy recipes.

Hopefully, someone will have the exact creme filberts you're looking for, but at least one site does have yogurt-covered hazelnuts that look like the old-fashioned "moth balls". In fact, they have dozens of hazelnut candy choices for sale.

Good luck to all who are in search of this illusive confection. This has become quite the treasure hunt!
