Re: Need grass!

Misc.

My husband still laughs at this one. My Rottie, Jake, tried his paw at digging holes and (Rottie sized holes they were too!) and using all trees as chew toys. As usual the the No Bad Dog etc just bounced right back at me. In frustration I dragged him around the yard (I'm 5' 120# and he is 115#) pointing at anything and everything emphatically declaring it was "!!MINE!!" " Sheesh, why didn't you say so before," he says and hasn't defaced the yard since . . .

I know with my previous Labs that lots of exercise has the key to good behavior. Only one was a digger and he had the misfortune of being tied in the yard while both my husband & I were at work. For him a good run before work and before bed combine with pouring water in his freshest hole and sprinkling pepper powders (cayenne black chilli everything I could get my hands on) over it eventually cured him.

Also is your excavator a bone burier?

We also used sod to repair the damage, just make sure you pack it well.

Lottsa luck
Suzanne
