re: Pickled Jalapeno Rings

Hey there, I'm originally from Texas and have been canning jalapeno peppers, whole, sliced and crushed for years. I understand you lost the "heat". Well here's a way to keep the heat, add one or two drops of vegetable oil after you've added the vinegar. For whatever reason, it brings out the heat. Enjoy!!
