Recipe: Braised Pork Chops (Pillsbury, 1969)

BRAISED PORK CHOPS

"To vary flavor, try different fruit or vegetable juices - orange, pineapple, tomato."

6 rib, loin or shoulder pork chops, cut 3/4 to 1-inch thick
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1/4 cup water, fruit juice or vegetable juice

Brown chops on both sides in large fry pan. Season with salt and pepper; add water. Cover; simmer 45 to 60 minutes until tender.

Makes 6 servings
