I don't have a recipe for a cake with strawberries but one of our favorites is what we call the banana split cake. Use 2 layers of a devils food chocolate cake, in the middle put whipped cream, strawberry slices, banana slices, spoonfuls of hot fudge sauce(straight from the fridge). Frost with more whipped cream and decorate with chocolate twirls, maybe a whole strawberry...whatever you want. It has to be assembled that day so it doesn't get soggy but it is worth the time, it is very good!

If your not totally set on a fruit type cake here is my favorite party cake. Bake your favorite cake recipe in a bundt pan. Frost as you would normally. Take waxed paper and fill up the whole almost to the top. Now the fun part....Take your favorite candy and fill the hole and spill the candy out over the whole cake and onto the platter. I use m&m's, gold chocolate coins, lifesavers, gumdrops... I use the wax paper so I don't have to use as much candy. It is a great birthday party cake, the kid's LOVE it!
