re toad in a hole

I loved this question and did a search to see what the internet would come up with as an answer. Here is a (partial) list of some of the names. Lots of fun ones:

eggs on a raft
egg in the hole
eggs in a polk
egg in a frame
eggs in a boat
sunny eggs
hen in a basket
eggs in a nest

I always assumed Toad in a Hole referred to sausage links cooked in a batter (as it does in the U.K.), but it appears that it also refers to this egg in toast recipe in some parts of this country.

I think I like "hen in a basket" the best!
