Julie, a crockpot cooks so slowly and at such a low temperature that you can usually leave the food in it for 2-3 hours after it has finished cooking without overcooking it. So you don't need to worry about your's being on turbo. Also, I often use chuck roast in this recipe and it tastes great! Pam
