Restaurants along I-76

When you get in to Colorado from Sterling west there are several good eating places. Sterling has several right along the highway. I am not as familiar with them as I am the ones farther west. About 45 miles west of Sterling is Fort Morgan. There is 'Maverick's' on the north side of the highway at the Barlow Road exit off I-76. It's a chain restaurant but the locals seem to support it. That's always important when looking for a place to eat in an area you are not familiar with. South of the highway at that same exit is a Walmart Superstore. They have a deli if you want food to go. Farther west about 30+ miles is Keenesburg, there is a nice roadside restaurant there called 'The Roadhouse'. They have had good food the several times we have stopped there. Good sandwiches and such. The next town west of Keenesberg is Hudson, and would recommend 'The Pepper Pod', it is an old area restaurant in the area that still has good food at very reasonable prices. There is a great history of the restaurant and the family that started it but too lengthy to go into here. By the way, there is only one exit into each of the towns of Keenesburg and Hudson.
