Why not go ahead and make the burger patties, grill to medium doneness, wrap tightly in foil or in zip-lock bags and freeze. Cooked meat can be frozen quite well and will provide a "quick-fix" supper for one of those busy nights we all have. Thaw/cook over bbq grill or thaw/heat in mircowave.
