Tracey, you are very welcome.
Misc.Hi Tracey:-) It's funny that you mention the yellow rice. I mentioned it to Mariana because I distinctly remember her serving us very similar rice so many years ago, but, I honestly can't remember whether it was with the Bobotie or not. (I thought so but I didn't tell her so.) I asked her about it and she did not remember the recipe at all??!? At that time, she said she used the recipe from the Spice Island bottle of tumeric. I still have that recipe and will post it for you and others for consideration. I'd love to know if it's similar to your recipe.
As for the Sosaties, I have not tried her recipe but she served it to us, again many years ago, and I have not forgotten how good it was as well. She said that she had not made it in a long time, and that my mentioning it made her hungry for it. She also said it was a lot of work but, I have to say, it doesn't sound that complicated. It just takes a long time to marinate it. Of course, we are both older now so have a good deal less energy than we had 30 years ago so maybe it just seems like a lot of work for that reason.
