Yes, I saw Jackie close-up one day!

Misc.
Summer on Cape Cod is like no where else in the world! Just the smell of the briny, salty, fishy ocean closeby is worth the trip - when you get close to the "bridges" leading onto Cape Cod, you can start to get that smell and the wave of nostalgia just flows over you. It's always hard to close up the house, the boat, and pack for four months, but once you're there, you don't want to leave!

One time, we were on a place in W. Yarmouth, called Great Island, visiting a close friend - we were out on a little dock marina area and a small sailboat came in, and out jumped Jackie, in one of her famous boatneck striped jerseys, white stretch pants, boat sneakers and those big sunglasses and a little kerchief tied over her hair, tied in back - she was with her gentleman friend from NYC. They tied the boat up together and then walked down the little dock towards us and past us. I was so thrilled, because I did love her, too. She was just as beautiful as her pictures, and so petite and slim.

Well, have to get going outside to do some shrub cutting this morning while it's still cool. I actually turned off the a/c this morning and opened up all the doors and windows again. I hate everything closed up when we have to have the a/c on this time of year. I'm an outdoors person, and love having everything wide open.

Love and take it easy today near that pool! Yes, Publix is the greatest!
