Recipe(tried): 4 c's Potatoes (crock pot)

Side Dishes - Potatoes
this recipe is called;

4 c's potatoes( don't know why the title)

2 lbs. frozen hash browns, or 2 1/2 lbs. potatoes cooked in water or microwaved with the skins. Then cool, peel and cube.
1/4 teaspoon of pepper
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1/2 to 1 cup milk
1 cup sour cream with onions, chives, etc.,
1 1/2 cup grated cheddar cheese.

Mix all ingredients except potatoes in a pan and heat until cheese is melted. Put potatoes in crockpot, casserole, or 9x13 cake pan and mix in the creamed mixture. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes or more.
In a crock pot you need 8 hours to cook. Put It on low for the first 7 hours and on off for the last hour. However every crockpot can be different and you can experiment with it.I'm sure you could start on high for a shorter cooking time , but watch it and then at some point turn it down to low.

I do hope you love this recipe because I have had it for years and it always has been a hit everywhere I take it or whenever I serve it to guests.It was a recipe I had gotten and it didn't taste good( the person that made it, sorta murdered the recipe) and I knew it could be a great recipe so I changed it a lot .I also removed some of the fat from the recipe too.

The sour cream I use is called "Top the Tater", now you may not have that where you live, but look for a sour cream that has onions and chives in it, it tastes so much better than plain sour cream, that is one of the changes I made in the recipe to make it taste better.
Good luck and enjoy/
