Recipe: about cheesecake

i happened to come across this recipe while srufing the net yesterday. don't think it's exactly what you are searching for but you could have a look. i, for one, tend to stick to the new york deli style cheesecake. tried many other styles but the traditional one always comes back as my fav. if you do try this and find it great, please do reply as this person said he won a blue ribbon for it.

TRIPLE LAYER MILLENIUM CHEESECAKE
1 Cup Chocolate Wafer Crumbs
3 Tblsp. Butter (melted)
3 8oz. Pkgs. Cream Cheese
3/4 Cup Sugar
3 Eggs
1 tsp. Vanilla
2 Squares (ounces) Semi-Sweet Chocolate
2 Squares (ounces) White Chocolate
1/2 Cup Mashed Sweetened Strawberries
2 tsp. Shortening (divided)
3 Squares (ounces) Semi-Sweet Chocolate
2 Tblsp. Butter (melted)
1/2 Square White Chocolate
Chocolate Wafers (decoration)
Additional White Chocolate (decoration)
Assorted Food Colors
Combine choc. crumbs and butter. Press into bottom of ungreased 9" Springform pan. Bake at 350' for 8 mins. Cool. In large bowl, Beat Cream Cheese and sugar til smooth. Beat in eggs and vanilla. DIVIDE batter into 3 portions. Melt semi-sweet chocolate and add to one portion. Pour over baked choc crumb crust. Melt white chocolate and pour into 2nd portion. Carefully spread 2nd portion over semi sweet layer. Mash strawberries and add to 3rd portion. Spread strawberry mixture over white chocolate mixture. Bake at 425' for 10 minutes. Reduce heat to 300' and bake for 55 mins. Immediately run a wet knife around edge of cake when done. Cool 30 mins. Remove upper part of pan. Cool 1 hour. Melt butter with semi sweet chocolate and 1 tsp. shortening. Pour over cooled cheesecake. Melt 1/2 Square White Chocolate with 1 tsp. Shortening. Drizzle over top of chocolate glaze. Press chocolate wafers around edge in upright position for decoration. Drizzle with colored melted white chocolate. Place 6 strawberries in center of top if desired. Chill until ready to eat.
