Recipe(tried): Adelle Davis Bread (from Let's Get Well, 1970's)

Breads - Yeast Breads
ADELLE DAVIS BREAD

3 cups hot water
3/4 cup honey
1/4 cup oil
3 to 4 tbsp. yeast
1 tbsp. salt
8 cups whole wheat flour, divided use

Mix together hot water, honey, oil, yeast, salt, and 5 cups whole wheat flour; mix for 5 minutes. Then add the remaining 3 cups whole wheat flour (pastry flour if possible).

Knead for 8 minutes and form into pans. Place in cold oven, then when dough is raised turn oven on to 350 degrees F and bake for 45 minutes.
